Emergency
An ophthalmology emergency is considered a situation where the patient is not in immediate danger or threat. But if not taken care of in a given period of time, then the situation may turn into an urgent situation.
Urgency
An ophthalmology urgency is a state when the patient needs immediate attention. Eye urgencies include: cuts, scratches, objects in the eye, burns, chemical exposure, and blunt injuries to the eye or eyelid.
